Rich O’Brien is the principal owner of the firm based in Milford, Michigan. He received his J.D. degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, graduating with distinction in 1981. During law school, Mr. O’Brien served on the Scholastic Review Board and with the Moot Court Team. He received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University (B.A. Criminal Justice/Political Science). He is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in the State of Michigan and in the U.S. Tax Court.
Rich’s professional affiliations include the State Bar of Michigan, and the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan. He holds a Certificate of Completion in the areas of Estate Planning and Probate issued by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Prior to launching “The Law Offices of Rich O’Brien, PLLC” in January 2009, Rich had worked 10 years in the title insurance industry.
Shelley O’Brien serves as the firm’s signing/closing coordinator. She obtained a B.A. degree in Business from St. Mary’s College, and an M.S. degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. Her background in both business and medicine, as well as her boundless energy and enthusiasm make her a key member of the team!
Kristy Olack is a legal assistant with the firm. She is a graduate of Novi Christian High School. She has worked for more than seven years in various administrative capacities before joining the firm. Her talent for innovation, focus on client service, and her strong work ethic make her a valuable member of our team!
Kate Krasean also works as a legal assistant with the firm. She is a 2002 graduate of Michigan State University where she earned a B.S. degree from the College of Human Ecology. Kate’s background in the title insurance industry has well equipped her to assist both our residential real estate, and estate planning clients.
